Wbac quoted me £250 more than the salesman, however I doubt that’s what I’d get once it was all done and dusted.
Bit of advice though, I got a quote just to see what it was, a few days later they sent me an email saying they had updated the value and it had jumped from £1770 to £1950, so worth trying similar thing.

mmm. ok thanks. I'll give that a go.Bit of advice though, I got a quote just to see what it was, a few days later they sent me an email saying they had updated the value and it had jumped from £1770 to £1950, so worth trying similar thing.
I went on Go compare and the highest quote was about what I think the old bus is worth.
A extra couple of hundred will always help.

It really depends on what margin the salesman has on the car you're buying on what they will offer you for your P/X.
Concentrate on the cost to change and see what discount, if any, they will offer you on the car if you don't P/X.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind.Concentrate on the cost to change and see what discount, if any, they will offer you on the car if you don't P/X.
I'm lucky I don't need to PX mine to get my new car, just don't want all the agro of selling private.

If that’s true then just get a quote, be honest with the condition of the car, they give you 7 days to accept it, once that expired for me they sent the email offering more. A guy will ring you the day after the first quote, just tell him the offer wasn’t good enough or something.I'm lucky I don't need to PX mine to get my new car, just don't want all the agro of selling private.
