Nearing end of lease - Oil Change

Hi Folks,

My Golf GTD has 5 months left on the lease and now has a message on the Dash for "Oil Change in X Days". Do I need to cough up the stealership price for this of can I go to any local garage?

I'm conscious that whoever does the oil change knows how to acknowledge/clear the message on the Dash.

It will stipulate in your contract what is and isn’t allowed.

Couldn't see anything about servicing. Might have to call them.

My cupra 300 is due to be returned in a couple of weeks. The dash said 'oil inspection due' so I booked it in with SEAT for just an oil change, which the dealers were fine about. They stamped the service book and it only cost £110 compared to £200+ for a service. Job done!
