MOT advisory advice - wheels
Discussion
Hi all, just after some advice
Looking at an E class S212 and the MOT has the following advisories:
Nearside Rear Road wheel slightly distorted inner edge (5.2.2 (c) (i))
Nearside Front Road wheel slightly distorted inner edge (5.2.2 (c) (i))
I assume by wheel it means the alloy bit? I did try googling it but it wasn't clear (to me)
Avoid or nothing to worry about?
Thanks in advance.

I should think they’re buckled and you might well feel it through the steering. As well as “flat spots” the wheel may be twisted around the hub face and not run true.
Definitely budget for replacement. While flat spots can be removed, buckling is much harder to do 100%.
There could also be consequential damage to the wheel bearings and suspension, but having said all that loads of cars have this kind of damage, it’s just that on this one you can go in eyes open.
