Wheel painting on a PCP....Advice please

Have recently taken delivery of my new car and want to change the wheel colour without replacing the alloys. With the car being on a PCP from a dealership, where do I stand on making a change such as suggested?

Best to contact them and find out or.... well any advice is appreciated.

Do you intend to hand the car back at the end of your PCP? If not I guess it probably doesn't matter?

Mrs ZS has ordered a new Mini Clubman but the alloys she wanted didn't come in black which would suit the car far better.

The dealer is quite happy to respray them in their bodyshop before we collect the car. I'm sure we could get it done cheaper if we shopped around, but as it's a brand new car I'd rather pay more and get the main dealer to do it and (hopefully) avoid any comeback if any issues crop up further down the line.

I had a Zafira tourer on a PCP and brush painted the wheels black. (made a nice job)...when I handed it back they never even noticed.

In all probability, as long as you pick a conventional colour, no-one will care a bit. When I worked in dealerships it never even crossed my mind to check if the wheel colour was the same as when it was delivered, I just checked the wheels for damage.

Will be painted in gloss black by someone I have used before and trust.

You'd be best off checking with the finance company as your PCP agreement is with them and not the dealership. Changing the colour of the alloys maybe classed as a modification which they may need to approve?

Shall we assume that they aren't diamond cut or two-tone from factory?
