Buying a 2013 a3 s-line with 115k miles?

Hi everyone.
I have recently seen an advert for a 13 plate a3 s line sportback 1.4 petrol for £8000.
I have done an mot check on it and in 2016 the car had only done 19k and every year after was basically a 30k year for the car. that would indicate motorway miles surely?
My average mileage a year is under 6k so I wouldn’t be adding that much to it in all honesty.
My question is, how well would the engine hold up after them miles, as this looks like it is mainly motorway miles would this be a good buy? It has had a timing belt change at 80k and is mot till April 2020, so has a while to go, it does say the front break pads are wearing thin on the advisory notes of the last mot is this a costly fix?
Has anyone got any experience with a high mileage car such as this does it still run smooth?

115,000 for a modern vehicle is nothing. You want to ensure it has a full and comprehensive service history, with records of drive belts etc changed to schedule. With people commuting further and further nowadays, doing 30k per annum or more, is not unusual. Buy on condition. I've ran multiple 160,000 + (older) vehicles with little problem.

Good advice here, the only thing that would concern me is the price and the resale cost. Nothing wrong with the mileage per se but 115k on a normal A3 with a price of £8k seems like a lot to me. The avg annual mileage has been dropping for years in the UK, 2018 it was 7200 miles a year No, pads aren't terribly expensive at all.
I presume it is £5k for the car and £3k for the "imagine".
Seriously, what model is it, if it is an S line diesel, it is worth no where near that, if it is an S3, is it marginal!
At that mileage it could be fine, or a big pile of shyte.
But if a diesel it is the sort of miles the turbos can play up, (sticking vanes), egr valves get clogged and it may well be due a cambelt now on years not just miles.

It looks like 2013 was the year of the facelift so to be fair to the OP the newer model does look a lot nicer both internally and externally. Having had a look on AT I'm taking a guess and assuming this is the car:

Still too much money for a bland, slow, high mileage hatchback with a 'premium' badge. It does look to be the going rate for that model, but I would personally buy something less 'premium' but actually better.
