Having a scan through the cars for sale section earlier today dreaming about what I would like to own and I noticed that used Lambo Huracan Performante’s have dropped to similar ish money to 991 Gen 2 GT3’s.

If you was in the market to spend that kind of money would you be more open to a lambo that had a much higher list price and has a lost a load of money already or a GT3 that’s still well over list price?

911. It’s my (limited) understanding that Lamborghini have not produced a drivers car for some time. Market shiny things to Chinese business men. Most automotive companies are marketing towards China, but Lamborghini are a victim of their own success.

Also, I’ve had a few cans and couldn’t afford to even fill the tank on either of those machines.

I’d buy the Performante - seems more special to me than the 3
I might ultimately chose a 600 LT or possibly 720 over both though
Would be a tough choice
If buying a 911, I would chose the 997.2 RS over the 991 models

The problem you’ve got here is that both of them are flipping brilliant. It’s fillet steak vs seared sea bass.

For that reason the answer is you’ve got to have both either at the same time or at some time....

Depends whether you want a drivers car with the 991.2 GT3 or a shiny bauble Performante which has broadly been superseded by the Hurracan Evo without the Performantes rather tacky and ott Halfords rear wing.

If you want a 'manuel' gearbox this answers your question. And what a gearbox it is too btw. Although the PDK S is rather good but less involving.

The Performante having lost a shed load already ££ will continue to depreciate heavily wheras the 991.2 GT3 could well stabilise above list as it is the last proper sounding pre filtered GT3 together with the 981 GT4. The induction noises up to the 9k redline with the cup car engine make the 991.2 GT3 one of the best sounding contemporary Porsche GTs with none of the farty and fakery exhaust which afflict many cars even at this price level.

McLaren LT a bargain but like the Performante will continue with the eye watering depreciation being a Maclaren.

I thought OP ment 1.2 GT3 RS compared to the perf as similar prices and can’t get the RS as a manual? Id go perf spyder if it was my money more special, better noise and Porsche RS prices are silly you’d just be lining someone’s pocket who was ‘lucky’ enough to get on the list for a brand new one.

Edit: perf prices dropped more than I thought although still looking about £30k more than GT3.
