£5-£10k estate/SUV/4x4
Discussion
Looking for a big car to replace golf estate which is a bit small for current needs. 5-10k budget depending on age and spec.
Needs to big enough for dog, child, plus various camping equipment and outdoor toys. I do 20000 miles a year so would prefer something relatively frugal but if powerful and good to drive it would be a bonus.
Been browsing the classifieds and nothing is really jumping out at me. Open to any suggestions.

There are some good cars at this price point:
Estate wise these would be my picks the first is leftfield but if you want a spacious well spec'd 4x4 estate that is very frugal then this is it:
508 RXH I've supplied a few cars with this drivetrain & the owners are getting very good numbers fuel wise & they're not a bad steer.

The best steer will be the Mondeo in Titanium X Sport form:

Liking all these suggestions, I can see me going down this route in 18 months when my v90 lease ends. Something for about £8-10k bought outright and no monthly payments.
All of those would probably fit my criteria but I would like a more modern infotainment system. Still I suppose in 18 months new options will come within budget.
