VW Polo GT 1.4 TSI
Discussion
Hi,
Currently looking into buying a 2016 VW Polo GT 1.4 TSI (140 Bhp) with around 20k miles and wanted to know what people thought about the engine as from my reading I believe it is turbo charged? Is it the same engine as in the golf 1.4 GT (150 bhp), if it is do i need to avoid it?
Im scared as what google brings out about the car because its a relatively nice drive and the mpg figures are attracting me, what do people think on here?

Not sure if the engine was updated but 2 mates had the 1.4 TSI fabia vrs of 2013 (ish) vintage and it was a shocker, drank oil like nothing on earth and all the dealer could say was "it's within tolerance"
Way thirstier than the official figures too
The car in question is the turbo charged version as opposed to the twin-charged Fabia 1.4 which I'm yet to hear a positive reader review on. Way thirstier than the official figures too
OP - I had this engine in an A3 I recently had and I loved it. Very economical, powerful enough and cheap to tax. I liked it so much so that I'll be getting another (Leon or A3 with same engine) as soon as I can.
