Found one of these for 2.5k on 113,000 miles and I'm thinking of buying.

What should I be looking out for when viewing/test driving

TIA!

I had one many moons ago so can add my two pennies worth.

At that mileage you buy on condition.

1. Regular oil changes? Any oil consumption?
2. Haldex fluid changed? Quattro.
3. Gearbox oil changed if automatic?
4. When was the cam follower in the high pressure fuel pump last changed?
5. Turbo noises and leaks
6. Ask if it has ever been or is remapped.
7. Noises from wheels. CV joints etc.
8. Check interior e.g. if it looks older than the mileage it may have been clocked.
9. Check all body work carefully for alignment and especially around wheel arches / lower sills for rust.
10. Check all electrics. Make like a curious child with buttons and make sure all works including the AC.

Thanks mate very helpful.

I forgot to add as it's FSH it should've had regular oil changes, not sure if the haldex is covered on this as well? I'll be looking.

Not an auto as I've always been wary of the dsg's at higher mileage.

I'll definitely been paying attention to the turbo, that and the diff are what scare me the most tbh.

Thanks again for the list I'll be sure to check everything on there. I phoned up and asked a few questions of the dealership but think I'm going to have to inspect it myself and sift through the paper work.

Cheers

It will be belt driven too so look out for cambelt and pump receipts. DV valves fail as does the emissions manifold / PCV, rear calipers stick too.
