Large estate for £2-4k

Looking for a large estate for around £2-£4k must be diesel so far thinking
E320/E280
BMW 525/530
Audi A6
Thought about V70 D5 but think the above would suit me better.
Any horror stories on the above and what is the most comfortable, practical and nippy to the above

Mk4 mondeo 2.0 tdci. You can get a 163ps version. Or 200ish bhp is a remap away.

I don’t know why but I just don’t like the mondeo or insignia styling want it to look reasonably nice

For that money, surely you just want the best value car? The Mondeo is a brilliant car.

Both offer potentially better value than BMW/Audi at this price point

Another vote for a Saab 9-5. Loved mine for 50k in 2 years including numerous euro trips.
