To buy a new insignia or not?

I have a 2015 insignia 2.0cdti with about 100,000 miles. It's been well maintained and not had any issues so far.
I'm considering upgrading to the new insignia probably a late 2018/early 2019 model.
I drive about 22-23k miles a year.
Should I keep my old insignia for a while longer, trade in value is going to be pretty low now or in a year or two. But how likely am I to come across expensive repairs in the next 2 years/50,000 miles?

If it was me, I'd be holding on to a well maintained 4 year old 100,000 mile diesel and continuing to maintain it well over buying a new car.I'm considering upgrading to the new insignia probably a late 2018/early 2019 model.

Keep on top of oil changes and the timing belt/water pump intervals and just drive it. I'd say your biggest risk items/things to be aware of are the timing belt potentially snapping, and the dual mass flywheel causing issues.
You're likely going to be much cheaper running your current car rather than buying a new car. It's likely not worth much at the moment, so you might as well get some more life out of it.
I wouldn't hesitate to keep your current car. Maybe see how you get on in a year.
It's rarely cheaper to buy a new car, over maintaining an equivalent older car when you account for the depreciation.
At the same time, if you really want a 2019 insignia, then feel free to go for it if that's what you really want.
I'd stick with the old one for a while and see how it fares. That said, my brother has had an older Insignia SRi company car for a couple of years now, that must be due to go back soon. He is hoping to get another Insignia, and I have to say I've been impressed with the one he has now. They're underrated cars.
A mate has had 4 company Insignias in a row, always the Ecoflex SRi that he keeps for 3 years and about 90,000 miles and has never had a problem.
Has the new 17 reg one and he really likes it as it has quite a lot more tech than the old one. We used it to go to Cumbria earlier on the year and I recall it was doing something like 65mpg. His current one has the body kit and does actually look quite sporty.
