The Mrs has been in my company car for the last couple of years which is going back. (BM 330e).

Looking for something nippy (she’s got used to a bit of torque) but it has to be an Auto due to her license. She’d prefer 5 door but not necessarily a deal breaker.

I’ll be having a van so no need to be too big.

She likes mini’s but at this budget i’m not sure on their auto boxes.....

Not scared of a bit of maintenance, have access to a ramp, just don’t want the gearbox falling out of it!

The auto boxes in an R56 Mini Cooper S are made by Aisin, these are pretty reliable by all accounts.

We've had our 2010 Cooper S auto for 6 years now and never had an issue with the gearbox, bought at 28K, now on 74K.

Maybe its the old 53 that made me think they were made of chocolate. Thats good then - is it a responsive enough box?
