Hello all,

Hoping for some advice on my current motoring predicament....

Currently in VWFS leased S5 coupe, which I extended into a 3rd year, ending next April.

My current job role means VERY limited use of the car, so my previous thinking was to buy something second hand once the audi goes back. Have had a kid since having the audi (he is now nearly 2), so something more practical, 4 doors etc. As fuel consumption wasn't an issue due to low mileage, I was eyeing up things like S4 Avant, 440 GC's.

Due to change in working circumstances, by the time the audi goes back I will be covering a lot more miles - difficult to say exactly how many, as I will be covering 'an area', rather than one location. I would estimate probably around 250 miles per week, but this is a ballpark.

I am aware that there is no right or wrong answer, but just after some opinions on what I think my options will be;

1 - Get another lease, on say 12k a year, but with as low an additional PPM as possible.

2 - Buy 2-3 year old second hand - if so, any thoughts on what? Key requirements would be;

Auto
4/5 door
NOT diesel - petrol, hybrid, even full electric are options
Ideally, something that isn't too 'vanilla' after the S5 - I certainly don't need 350bhp and a V6, but don't want something that feels terrible after the audi.

Budget wise, could go to £350 amortised on a lease, and around the £20k mark for something used.

Apologies for yet another 'what car' thread, but am lacking inspiration and I need to make decision fairly soon due to lead times if I do lease again.

Thanks all.
