Hi everyone,

I'm in a bit of a dilemma I really don't know what bmw 5 series to get.

I have about 20k to spend It has to be 2012 + and a touring my absolute ideal would be a f11 m5 but unfortunately they don't exist! I had a f11 530d but find it lacking, it's a great car I loved it but just found it a little flat and runs out of puff quickly. I currently have a saab 93 areo 2.8 turbo petrol. I do about 10,000 a year 20mile road trip to work. So my question is what are peoples views on say the f11 535i ? Or 535D? And phaps when there tuned a little aswell? Or maybe other options that you think may suit ? Dare I say in audi s6 or e63 ?

The only problem with an F11 535i is finding one! It’s a pretty rare beast.

What about a Merc C63 Estate (if you need an estate)?

Can you not keep the Saab, get a Hirsch tune and buy a weekend toy?

I'd be looking at a V90 T6.

Massive, fast(ish), and hilariously comfy

Yikes, didn't realise the proces on these... you could get a D5 for £20k, but not sure if fast enough for you.

I did think about the c63 but never sat in one and not sure on the size as my 9-3 saab estate is not big enough (I'm quite tall so seat right back almost and kids are only getting taller) where as the 530 I had was fine. I thought the c class was more 3 series or a4 size?
I do want a estate but I am tempted to say screw it and just get a f10 m5.

Remapped 535d will get about 380bhp, and still 40 to the gallon on a run. Plenty to be getting on with!

That is a option, has anyone driven a 530D and remapped 535D is the difference night and day?

Both the 535i and 535d both tune really well by the look of it!

One has 260bhp and only a single turbo the other 380bhp with sequential turbos.

In terms of Bhp per tonne it is 146 530d v 213 535d mapped.
