I have a new Mercedes E class that was due to be delivered a week ago, it apparently developed electrical glitches when it was being driven to me last Tuesday . Lots of warning lights on dash board ( abs, brake assist etc) it’s now been in a local dealership for a week! Do I have any right to demand another car? Or should I wait and accept this one when repaired, I don’t want to jeopardise the deal I got as it was very good but don’t want a brand new car with problems

May the car have been sat around for a while and one of the batteries is knackered. Aren't MB known for being voltage sensitive for a lot of their clever electrical systems? May just need new or charged batteries and a reset.

My boss in the last few weeks took delivery of a his new C Class merc.

Same thing happened to him. It got delivered to the office and on trying to start the car to get it of the transporter. It light up like a Christmas tree. OOPS.

2 hours later after a new battery at the local dealer all sorted. No more issues
