I'm looking to buy something between £7k and £8k for driving daily to work and something I won't feel too worried about driving into the ground. I also want something that will not be a money pit.

I plan on buying something more special as a second car.

I know below two cars are worlds apart but they are within my budget. Both are for sale at the same dealer. Which one would you go for?

Renault Clio RS 200 Cup

Mercedes S320 Mansory

The S Class will be a money pit and personally, I’d get bored of the Renault as a daily quite quickly with its ride and lack of creature comforts.

Why do you have to buy from this dealer?

I wouldn't touch that S Class with a barge pole

The car may have depreciated , but parts and labour costs haven't.....

Very, very much this.

Plus it's completely hideous.

Pity the poor fool who ends up buying it.

Cheap runabout that your not bothered about, then this will be cheaper than both of the other options.

If you aren't worried about running it into the ground then why spend so much?

Spend 3k on a daily , means more money in the weekend toy pot.

None of my dailies have ever cost more than 3k.

I'd be going for the S Class I like the look, my mates dad has the Brabus equivalent & it's an event to drive, parts aren't that stiff to be fair.

It all depends on what you want from your car, here's another alternative:

CLS 500
