Hi all,
Looking for some guidance please.

I bought a Corsa from a well known Northern car Retailer on 11th October. On the 24th October the car started having a fault with the throttle - it would stall whilst not in gear & the accelerator peddle is unresponsive. Very dangerous to continue driving.

It's a temperamental fault so all of the garage tests are saying that the car is fine. Meaning the Retail branch does not believe me & will not give me a refund. They have even started to ignore my e-mails!

Being within my first 30 days of purchase, I believe I have certain Consumer Rights as the car is not to satisfaction.
How do i get them to refund my money? They have booked the car is for a more thorough inspection next week, but as you can imagine I don't want this repaired now - I just want my money back.
I even get the feeling that they are just trying to drag it out until I'm out of my warranty period.

Any help much appreciated, thank you.

I really feel for you in your situation, it is very frustrating to know a car is not right, but nothing is being done about it.

How new is the car? Have you tried having one of their technicians drive it around for a few days so that the likelihood of the fault occurring is higher?

If it is a very intermittent fault, then it is a bit tricky as the dealership won't want to take any drastic measures without seeing the fault first hand.

Good luck!
