Do you think the Audi S3 2015 to 2017 is a good upgrade from a 2006 Golf GTI for a 32 year old? I've never owned a saloon before.

^what an odd thing to say!

Of course a recent S3 would be a significant upgrade on a 2006 GTI.

Go for it!

I’m 33 and have a 2017 (facelift). My first saloon and I love it.

The S3 saloon is a nice looking car. I think it's much better looking than the hatch. It's just not that good a drive.

Get it in primer grey if you are a knuckle dragging aggressive powerfully built company director who drinks red bull...(the current most aggressive drivers are of the said colour in s3/rs3's)

S3 saloons in nardo grey will be an incredibly rare beast. Believe it was a cost option at £2.5k (while free with the RS).

Seems an odd point to make on that basis.

ETA: presume JJR1 will wipe his contributions once the drink wears off tomorrow afternoon. WTF indeed.

I do think that the saloon versions of the S3 and RS3 look a lot classier than the hatchback ones which generally are more chavvy in my opinion
