10,000 miles, price adjustment?

I`ve found a couple of CX5s that look OK, one at a main dealer and one at an indy.

They`re both priced the same (within £50) both about the same age (within 4 months) and are the same spec (Sport Nav 173 if it makes a difference).

Now, the main dealer car has 10,000 miles less than the indy car but is poorly prepped cosmetically (paint swirls, kerbed wheels, that kind of thing).

If I keep them for 3 years and around 30,000 miles when I come to sell how much of a price difference will the higher mileage car attract? I`ll be selling with around 90,000 miles on the indy car and 80,000 miles on the main dealer car.

I`m thinking the indy car is the better buy but the 10,000 mile difference of the main dealer car keeps nagging at me.

Always go on condition and history over mileage.

They already have a 10,000 mile difference and are priced the same so why wouldn't they be 30,000 miles later.

I think that mileage difference would have less impact at those higher mileages once you factor in inflation so I would go for the better car even if it was the higher mileage one.

I would avoid diesel Mazdas.

Depends on starting mileage if one is 10k and the other 20k get the 10k if there heading towards 100k buy on condition

I saw the higher mileage car this afternoon between rain showers, it was well presented and looked like a car with half the miles on it.

The interior though is a bit poor, my 8 year old V60 has a nicer feel to it.

The search continues.
