Why's it so hard to choose a car :D

I resurrected an older 'help me buy a car' thread but have other options now so easier to start a new one....

Considering some changes for my partners car and mine. She is probably going to get a 16/17 Tiguan 4Motion family tool. That was easy...

Now I have a dilemma
Either keep one of our current cars as a daily ('62 C220CDi with 62k or '09 GSH450h with 97k) both fine with no problems. and spend 10-12k on a weekend toy [4 seats would be helpful, but can't see much special enough to warrant it being a weekend car].

Chop both cars in and spend 15-18k on a 'special' feeling daily. Only specifics being at least 4 seats, no too stupidly expensive to run (no Maserati 4200 for example). 996 911 might work, or more sensibly a M235/240, M135 3 door (can't fit in 5 door as B pillar hits shoulder :O). Just not sure I can bring myself to buy something that doesn't feel special.

Don't want to be breaking down every weekend really.

So 10-12k weekend toy or a 15-18k daily. Must feel special / fun and not tiny inside. Any thoughts or recommendations?
