Budget of £13k looking for mod cons

Hi
I'm after a car that's got mod cons such as
Android auto, parking sensors etc

Looking for petrol, mileage no more than 80k

Hatchback or saloon

Would like something that's got a bit of punch

Any suggestions?

Worth noting that you can get an Android Auto / Apple Carplay head unit for under £300 eg https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-XAV-AX100-Receiver-B... . You can also get a rear view camera and hook it up to that if you want, otherwise parking sensors are on lots of cars even going back 15 years or so.

So basically, I would first look for a car you would most enjoy driving for £12.5k, and then use the last £500 or so to sort out the mod cons :-)

Define "punch".

There are a few cars that'll do sub 7 seconds to 60, but you'll struggle with Golf R levels of performance unless you buy at the very bottom of the market.

There are a few Focus or Fiesta STs. A few Vauxhall Astras (new shape, and 1.6 takes 6.6 to 60 but they're no hot hatch to drive) or Corsa VXRs, the odd Abarth or Kia Ce'ed GT...

To be frank, if Android Auto makes you happy, all power to your wallet. But that does really restrict your choice of fast cars at this level, and you could get much, much more interesting metal for £13k. Have you considered £12k and an aftermarket stereo/integrated unit? Or just putting up with Bluetooth?

You still need to consider the car you're buying. Lots of cars will have outdated sat nav systems and infotainment screens. They look daft sitting there redundant.

Worse still disconnecting the old system can lead to management lights.

A £300 unit isn't going to come close to better integrated systems in cars.

thanks for all the responses, this was a request for a friend.

Personally I would do the aftermarket unit and then pick the car, but not sure what car I would pick even for
£13k thats sub 7 seconds
