Lease cancellation within 14 days? Is the contract voided?
Discussion
I know this has been asked in this forum before and im sorry for asking, but i cant seem to find any answers for it, please can anyone help, im stressing out
I signed the initial PCH order form yesterday for a car on a 24 month lease, however i found out today i wont need a lease anymore due to being able to use a company car. Can i cancel this lease deal just by calling and saying i wish to cancel? The leasing company have done my credit check and passed it and sent me an email to pay the admin fee and told me theyve ordered the car from the dealership. I did try callling myself but the guy who did the lease finished his shift so i have to call tomorrow.
Also its worth noting the lease deal was changed early today, before i knew i didnt need it, to an 18 month lease, as the lease guy forgot to mention its an additional £20 for a white roof. Following that i never recieved an updated PCH order form with the 18 month agreement and the new monthly price, surely the initial 24mth form i signed is now voided? All the documents i received following the order form state a 18-month lease deal, but the initial form states 24 months.
Again sorry for asking a repetitive question. Just stressing my head out as there could be a £499 cancellation fee.

What does the paperwork say in the 'Your right to cancel' section?
It says Cancellation. No order which has been accepted may be cancelled by The Customer except with the written consent of the Company and subject to the Customer indemnifying the Company in full against all loss (including loss of profit), costs (including the cost of labour and materials), damages, charges and expenses incurred by the Company, our cancellation fee is £499.00 plus VAT. Where a customer cancels the Agreement during the Cooling Off Period, the Customer will still be liable to pay any fees due as listed here (the Vehicle Order not being a "linked agreement" for the purposes of the Consumer Credit Act).

So basically you can cancel the finance agreement but they will charge you for the brokerage work they have done in executing that agreement, its akin to insurance brokerage charges, looks like you're stuffed for at least the £600 fee inc VAT
But you reckon because I never signed a contract for the 18 month lease with a revised price, the 24month contract I signed is now void? In their contract it states -
In entering into the Vehicle Order the Customer acknowledges that they do not rely on, and waives any claim for breach of, any such representations which are not so confirmed ('Writing' includes letter, email, facsimile transmission and any comparable means of communication).
To me that means that because the new contract wasn’t written up, nor sent to me, I’m not tied into any such contract anymore. What’s your opinion?
Also I haven’t paid anything to them yet, but they do have my bank details.
