Does an XFR really compare to an M5/RS4

Hello all, regular reader but only just signed up.
After a bike accident a couple of years ago I promised the family I'd stay off the roads on a bike. I'm now in need of a replacement adrenaline fix. I know nothing with compare with a bike but miss the acceleration and drama. The idea of an early XFR has really got under my skin.....
It will be my wife's DD, so needs to be comfortable, 4 door and a pram friendly boot, it will be my toy at the weekend (I've got a company pick up for the week)
I've taken out an E60 M5 and loved the noise and drama, I also took out an XFR but with a nervous salesperson so couldn't really get a feel for it. My initial impressions are that it lacks the noise and drama I want and the power and speed are masked but the quality feel. Is this the case?
Looking an a B7 RS4 but my budget is probably only going to buy a money pit of one, same problem with the M5.
Thoughts would be appreciated!

In disagreement with the above poster, my 2010 XFR has far superior interior quality than the 2014 5 series that preceded it. Leather quality etc there is just no comparison.
I went XFR as 99% of driving is 'normal', but I love the frankly ludicrous turn of pace from everywhere in the rev range. If you want fire, brimstone and drama then I would say the E60 M5 or the C63/E63 are where you want to be. Is it comparable to all the alternatives though? Absolutely, it really doesn't have a weak point.

I had one for 4 years and it was a wonderful car that did everything.
From a daily stop-start commute though the pot hole ridden roads of London, to the majestic open roads of Wales.
Popped a pair of Spires exhausts on the back, to replace the heavy "quiet" OEM ones, and it was nothing short of amazing.
Comfortable, rapid, very easy to drive.
Anything quicker, in my view, would need to be a superbike (coming from someone that used to ride an Aprilia RSVR Factory), or some proper supercar machinery.
So yes, to answer your question, it does compare and an absolute bargain.

Thanks so much. Exactly what I wanted to hear! It needs to be "sensible" and safe during the week without accidental drifting when the wife has it, but potential to re live the biking days when I'm out alone.
I love the idea of a comfortable cruiser when needed and a nutter when provoked. Thoughts on a convertible to get back that bike feeling XFRFred? (I had an Aprilia Tuono VTwin before someone decided to write it off)

You'd have to think about a XKR, if you wanted a convertible, there isn't one in the XFR guise. I love the idea of a comfortable cruiser when needed and a nutter when provoked. Personally, having the windows down was more than ok.
When biking, I was a full on Power Ranger, so wasn't feeling much of the sun on me, like you would with a convertible.
But to be honest, we just don't have the weather for it, so no hankering for a convertible.
