M135i fully maintained lease

Been offered (through a work scheme) a brand new M135i with metallic paint, on a 24 month lease, 10,000 miles, fully maintained including tyres, for £505 a month with zero deposit.

Works out £12,120 for 2 years against a list price of £36,990... so 32% including all maintenance - or about 29% if you take maintenance costs out of the equation.

Any good? Or are there better deals to be had elsewhere?

About 50% more expensive than what would typically be regarded as a really good deal. However, if you’re only interested in that specific model then it’s unlikely you’ll get close to a ‘good deal’.

If you just want a good deal rather than that specific model then start following the leasing deals thread, if you want the M135i then I suggest comparing your deal against what TRL is offering on babybmw, as that’s about as good as it gets typically.

Is that 10k for the whole 2 year lease?
If so, can you guarentee oy wont want to be doing more than 5k miles a year? how much £ per mile over is the cost to you?

£505 per month is a lot of money to only drive just over 400miles a month!

It’s 10k p/a = 20k 2 years.

Excess mileage is steep though - almost 17p/mile

Not a great deal, M240i’s leasing much cheaper than that at the moment (less than £5k a year).

That's comparing chalk and cheese though - the M240i is a 7-odd year old design, nearing end of life - whereas the M135i is the brand new model that's only just come out.

I know it's not good value when compared to a 'I don't care what model car I drive, I just want a good value lease' deal - but I happen to want a very specific car and it's a model that happens to have only just come out, so against that 'metric' this is the best deal I've found?

I'm not sure about the new M135i, but old one was two year service internals and some drivers were doing in excess of 20k before requiring a service.

You might even see over 20k out of the runflat tyres and require no maintenance within your 2 years.

The maintenance side of things might not be worth anything.

Not sure if you've had a company car but have you considered bik in that aswell?

The company I work for allows people to pick from a set list or take an allowance. Usually always works out better to take the allowance as you pay tax on a lesser figure and you can shop for deals.

Was going to say the same as the above, you might not incur much maintenance, if any.

FWIW and I know views are very different on this but for your budget, nearly new / ex demo will be rife soon. For 450 a month you can get a 25k bank-loan, the other 50 would cover maintenance. You will own it outright and it will stay a lovely car with you doing low miles.

I give you that but to buy brand new the costs are very similar, with the M240i being slightly more expensive, so this illustrates the level of discount between the two lease deals.

Do you need a maintaince plan, probably wont need a service? 1 set of tyres would be 500 quid.

A quick google lists lease at about 11k total. I'm sure they will be better deals out there.It is already being offered at 32k new.

Sounds like it Is a personal lease away from P11d benefits, just promoted to the company on an affinity style package.

New 1 Series sales have been fairly slow so expect to see some headline offers in the next few months to get stock moving.
