What happened to curvy coupes? Unless I want a Porsche there doesn't seem to be any other options. Unless I go old like a XK8, RX7 FD and so on. But post 2010 there's nothing? It looks like the last curvy, timelessly beautiful coupe was the unobtanium Alfa 8C in 2008.

I'm fancying a rwd curvy coupe with timeless beauty and keep bumping on 911 and Caymans. But they have the engine in the wrong end of what I want.

Do I have to go back to the 90s and early 2000s? But 90s are mainly pop up lights. I would like something more like the 8C, DB7 type of lights. I find it a good alternative to a restomods. Timeless classic looks but still modern mechanics.

Can't wait for this angry aggressive sharp edges fad to die off and sports cars going back to being beautiful.

Or am I overlooking some obscure option?

Merc E and S Class coupes are pretty curvy. There are some great S bargains at a couple of years old.

928 is not post 2010. wink

Like I said if I go back into the past then there are several options. Specially if we go into the 60s. smile

But a 928 is not exactly what I call curvy though.

Not really curvy and have that over aggressive angry look. frown

By curvy I mean 911, Cayman, 8C, DB7, Zagato DB7, XK8, 3200 GT, Gransport, RX7 FD and so on. Basically if it looks plausible that it would be related to the E-type, then that's what I call curvy. Not just a little rounded edge here and there. Curves, hips and round features, specially lights and so on wink

As you see all the examples above are 90s or early to mid 2000s.

V8 Vantage, XKR?

Very few cars have actual round headlights now. So if you can only tolerate round headlights then you are stuck.

Well, it doesn't need to be round as in a circle. The V8 Vantage lights for example are round enough. As long as they are not frowning. Because that has nothing to do with classic beauty. It just needs to be curvy and classically beautiful.

And the Vantage is a 2005 car. wink

XKR is 90s. smile

The latest XKR was introduced in 2007 and ended production in 2014.

V8 Vantage introduced in 2005 and ended production in 2017.

Sure. But their design is 2000s. wink

I'm talking about cars launched post 2010. I can't think of a single one not called Porsche. frown

The C6 is the sweet spot for me.

Actually there is a curvy modern coupe weather people will class it as timeless I'm less sure of but the G37 coupe defiantly has curves & it in my eye's is a looker as does it's brother the 370Z>

The C6 is not that curvy. But it's ok. The C5 is curvy, but ugly. Then we have to go back to the C3 for real curves.

G37 is defnitely not timeless IMO. And it's more melted than curvy IMO. Think E-type, XK8, 8C etc for what I call curvy. wink

370Z is alright. But I think the 350Z is kind of curvier. And both are last decade designs. wink

So is the C6.

The C7 is already into that angry frowning look.

There are no more classically beautiful sports cars. frown
