PCP - remind me when the deposit is paid please ?

Been a while since I've PCP'd but booked in shortly to hopefully agree a deal and place an order for a brand new car.
Car will be factory order and I won't have a px but will be putting about £2k down upfront.

I've a vague memory that last time I agreed the deal and paid about £500 when placing the order with the remainder of the upfront payment made on collection.

Does this sound right ?

Essentially my question is how much should I expect to hand over on order day ?

P.s sorry if this is a daft question, I've PCP'd 3 times in total but can't remember what we did. Any advice would be much appreciated

The way you have described it is the way it was done throughout my 14 year car showroom career, except for the higher value cars where £1000 was more the norm

Just I don't have the full initial payment now but will way ahead of collection, didn't want to go in, agree a deal and then look foolish when the asked for the money upfront
