Hi everyone,

I currently have a Seat Ateca on a 24 month lease, this has been my first lease car. The car goes back at the end of April, is there a way to tie in a new lease deal with this one going back? I'm sure this must be a fairly common thing considering how many people lease. I've phoned about a new lease I've seen with a different company which is stating March delivery and they're currently asking the dealer if they would hold the car for me. Just wanting to get a general idea of how people usually go about changing over leases and if it will be a case of having an overlap, which then leads to how do you get around the insurance of having two cars?

Any information will be greatly appreciated as I'm quite confused.

VW FS will allow 3 months of informal extension to your lease at the same rate which helps the coordination.
I just had a 10 days overlap and Aviva charged me £30 which is OK as there were no fees and no additional cost depite the new car being 50% than the old one in terms of value

Or return a bit early. I returned one lease a couple of weeks early and my in the wings lease was ordered some 7 months earlier and I just delayed delivery.

Just ask about getting rid of current lease a bit early. I got rid of mine 2.5 months early. Didn't have to pay the last 2 months and they even gave me the 0.5 month back (as you pay a month in advance)
Maybe I got lucky but worth checking.
