Used Pre Car Checks by mechanic

Hi

Do you guys know any good websites that you can arrange for a mechanic to do a pre check on a car before buying it? I am buying a car from the internet and want to get get it checked before I collect as it’s 120 miles away. Be good to have an independent pair of eyes look over it?

Personally I would go down the route of an RAC check, although they are only as good as the inspectors. What car is it and whereabouts is it ?

Check the google reviews, there is also another website called car dealer reviews. You can filter out the ones with a grudge and the ones that genuinely have had issues.

They probably do basic visual checks, a bit like a main dealer when they give you a fancy check sheet after a service and there are items such as "check washer fluid".
