Which car?

Husband seems to be going through a midlife crisis a 31 and wants to buy a car. He started off wanting a Porsche ( around 25K ) and now looking at an 03 Z4 ( cat D ) I’m not bothered what he gets but i don’t want him to just go and buy something on a whim so looking at advice on which car is best.
Looking at spending no more than 5K for now.
