Are these too different to compare? Conti GT and F type?

A budget of say £30k gets you a 2014 F type 5.0 or a 2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed W12.

Which would you go for?

I've not driven either.

The Jag would be more 'sports car' and the GT more 'GT'.

The Jag is going to be more up to date tech wise.

No other big coupes really float my boat and these two are on my bucket list.

The Conti has a bit of an image problem, but not too worried about that. I love the look of it, inside and out.

Have you considered the comparable annual maintenance costs? Bentley servicing costs... eek

Two schools of thought on this.

1: Run away
2: It's a VW/Audi under the bling. Used parts are more available now. Cars from 07 on are better than the early models. I have the time and space to work on it myself.

But, yes, parts can be £££££. This won't be a daily driver.

They are to far apart & in all honesty only a test drive will tell you which you prefer.

I actually thought about buying a flying spur once. The maintenance costs are massive when things that will go wrong.
I seem to remember a lot of jobs are "engine out". The strategy would be to get the engine out once something breaks and replace loads of old working parts at the same time.
