Quick question on buying a mid-market saloon
Discussion
Hey all, quick question on buying a mid-market compact saloon.
I have narrowed my search (through countless hours) to 3 options, all within a few £ of one another and within reasonable driving distance from where I live.
A few key criteria I set are:
Petrol (my eternal preference), automatic (fiancee can't drive manual for s
t), 4 doors (future kids), reasonable low mileage (<20k), low cost (<£18k), and a manufacturer approved warranty as reliability is important to me. This last factor also means it would be only a few years old to still be covered.
I did extensive research on JD power and WhatCar to check reliability by model and variant (e.g. Jag diesels are awful at 22nd but petrols are decent, tied for 4th)
The options are:
1) Skoda superb 2.0
2) BMW 320 xdrive
3) Jaguar XE 2.0 R-sport
I wanted to check if anyone has any ownership experiences, horror stories, quirks, and importantly (most importantly), any insight on reliability from their personal experiences?
Thanks!
