reliable estate/mpv with lots of leg room under £3000

Difficult question...but what petrol estate/mpv had the most room in the back ( 6 footer in front ) ...under £3000

e.g.

Honda CRV / FRV / Accord Tourer
Ford C-Max / Galaxy / Mondeo Estate
Saab 9-5
Subaru Forester
Toyota Rav4
Vauxhall Zafira
etc...

I bought a Lexus RX300 last year for way under £3000. Doesn’t miss a beat. The rear seats slide forward and backwards.

Ah, didn’t see mpg mentioned on your post. Mines averaging 25mpg.

good try but the cheapest petrol is over £4k.. and I have to have a petrol estate..

We recently bought a £3k Mitsubishi Outlander and very impressed so far (diesel so not sure what petrol are like). I'm 6'3" and plenty of room in front, lots in the rear as well, not a bad drive for a 7 seater and even the wife likes driving it..

probably not the most room in the back for the money but the mk2 octavia estate is surprisingly good.
We have it for our family bus and I am 6ft5 and adults can sit behind me whilst driving.

The superb is a different league in terms of space but as you say out of budget.

RX400h is the hybrid equivalent that is 30-40mpg+ depending on how/where you drive.

I've had one for over a year now. Slightly more than your budget if you don't want a lemon, mind.
