Hi all,

Novice here. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I possibly looking to buy either a 2016 XF or XE (haven't decided yet). 2 that I have seen are around the £10,000 mark give or take.
Both of them are around 85k in miles. They both visually in excellent condition and have full dealer service history and have mainly been used for motorway driving, hence the miles.

Question 1

I reality. Is this a lot of miles and should I be worried about?

Question 2

Will the exception of wear items (breaks etc.) Are there any significant parts that will need replacing soon i.e cam belts or water pumps etc? And will they cost a fortune to replace?

Always wanted to own a Jag but I need to know what I could be letting myself in for.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I had a 2016 XF and it was very problematic. The 2.0d is an unpleasant engine. Personally I would not recommend one. If you are set on an XF I would go for the older model which imo has a better interior.

No ideas for a name

I had a 2015 XF (new model X260) which was terrible... Ended up being bought back by the dealer... I now have a 2017 XF (same model) which has been fine.
I can see my experience isn't going to help you much.
Get one with ICTP rather than the simpler, small screen infotainment.

Previously I ran an X250 style XF with a supercharged V8 for close on 100k miles... Best car I have had.
