Hello all,

looking for some recomendaitons / thoughts on the below...

Current Car
- Volvo XC90 Diesel 2010 plate; am going to sell it shortly as the ULEZ in London is getting expensive, and it's being extended to incorporate where we live in 202.
- Love it, and it's perfect for all we need it for - just being a Diesel I think it's time to change...

Looking at the following options, and welcome any thoughts / suggestions:
- £5-6k budget.
- Ideally want the 7-seat option as have 3 kids, and there's often an extra person..
- Volvo XC90 (Petrol).
- Lexus RX 400/450 (Hybrid).
- Peugeot 4008 (Petrol)

Like the idea of a Hybrid (cheaper running costs as well - tax, parking permit etc)..

thanks in advance..

A

Don't think either Lexus comes with a 7 seat option

Good question.
The Audi Q7 has had a hybrid option for a few years.

Take a look at S-Max and Galaxy petrol options as I think the 1.6 Ecoboost engine is compliant. A friend living in London recently changed his older diesel Galaxy for a newer Ecoboost one for this reason.

When we did the same, Audi & Lexus were expensive for what you get and the Fords (that we went for) are comparatively rubbish from ride quality, build quality and drive
- I miss the Volvo and will probably buy a newer ULEZ compliant xc90 when the time comes
