Alternative Suggestions?

My sister needs a new car. She wants a large-ish hatch or estate, because of 2 kids and a dog, and surf boards and stuff, but doesn't want an SUV or MPV, apparently.

Also, no diesels. Idealĺy automatic. Not too old, so I'm thinking up to maybe 5 or 6 years old. Less than 70,000 miles, up to around £8.5k.

I can't see past a Mondeo. Can you?

Exactly. She's fishing in a pond of ex fleet cars, mainly, and they're diesel, in the vast majority.

I like the Octavia VRS...
