22k a year, M5 and M4. 320d or 330d
Discussion
Having spent plenty of time in both, I’d take the 330d every single time.
The extra power doesn’t really matter for motorway work but the 30d engine is soooo much nicer, more refined and resale value will likely be better too. My friends E92 330d auto is averaging 45mpg without much motorway driving and he doesn’t hang about.

Apologies,
Not sure how to edit the title!
I've been running a 520d for the last 13 months doing 178 each way twice a week, but it is A,B, dual carriage way and M way.
Now I'll be sat at cruise control and average cameras.
Plus I want a e91 or back to anE46.
And a flat 6 again
I think you want a straight six, not a flat six. I used to do a similar journey A34, M4, A417 (?), and M5 every week for a few months. It is boring, so a boring car will do. No point in paying for an extra two cylinders IMO.Not sure how to edit the title!
