So I often read chats on here but rarely get involved but I need some advice. I’ve currently got a dc5 integra type R I love it but for some reason I can’t explain I feel I need to have a change. I’ve got a budget of £8000 and the only requirements are it must be reliable. My integra gets thrashed every time I drive it and seems to love it almost like letting a dog off a lead for a run it just wants to keep on going and not stop and even though it gets truly thrashed it’s never let me down. Not once. So what do you guys recommend? Practically isn’t an issue as it will be a second car neither is fuel expense.

What kind of thing do you fancy? If it's super reliability you're after then another Japanese car would be generically preferable, leggier 370Zs are coming into your budget.

Most DC5 owners go Mitsubishi Evo as a step up, but they are also a step up in cost of ownership.

What sort of driving experience are you after?

Thanks for the quick replies. I’ve actually had a 350z and really enjoyed it. I think a 370z that fell into my budget wouldn’t be a great example. I’d rather a lesser car but good example if that makes sense. I’m looking for something a little faster if anything. Doesn’t have to be as good in the twisties but still enjoyable with good acceleration.

What about an Impreza WRX? You should be able to get a good example and have the wick turned up a bit. Or buy a pre-modded one of course, very tricky to buy a reliable and well-built one though.

Not a fan of scoobys I was actually thinking of a classic with a modern engine. I’d love a mini with a Honda or bike engine or a ford pop with a zetec but finding one is the problem.

You might have to stretch your budget a little to get a good one but what about a Honda S2000?
