RS5 question (or RS7)

I’ve been looking at some of the bigger saloons Or estates for the family car such as an E63, or RS6, but think now that one size down may be better, and my wife doesn’t fancy us having an estate.

Given practicality issues I think a “sportback” may be the next best option so am now thinking of an RS5, or possibly an RS7, and would appreciate any input from people who are familiar with them.

I had a B7 RS4 from new, which I loved, but is the recent RS5 anywhere new that in terms of driving enjoyment, and would I be right in thinking that fast though an RS7 Performance would be, it’ll lose out for driving enjoyment because of the extra mass and size?

I’m also thinking of going even more practical and getting a Stelvio, but whatever I get I want to get something that I’ll be happy with for a good four or five years, I’ve spent literally hundreds of thousands on cars in the last few years that I’ve lost interest in too quickly.
