Japanese under 5k

Hi all, looking for a Japanese car to replace my brothers dying Peugeot. Current criteria:
-8k-10k miles half motorway other back roads
-Two seats is fine
- max budget 5k

Currently thinking celica but not sure what else is out there in that budget?

The Celica 190 is an option, should be able to get a GT version for that.

Honda Prelude 2.2 vtec is another option, hard to find good ones though.

EP3 or FN2 Civic Type R's can be had on that budget also.

Honda Accord Type R.

Nissan 350z.

Quite a few interesting options within that budget.

I had a Celica t sport (190) and it was a very enjoyable car. Not the best for motorway use as the high revving engine made it a bit loud and tiresome. The ride is pretty firm too.

£5k would really be too much to pay for a Celica, good ones can be had for much less and they take mileage very well.

What price should I be looking at spending for a celica 2K? I've had a look at EP3s but it seems to be heavy mileage/abused ones for this price point
