Looking to move away from our S Max. We have 4 year old twins and an 11 year old. Anyone managed to get two child seats and another junior into the back of their A7 or A8?

Anyone got any other suggestions but must be german!

You’ll fit 4 in the back of a defender 90 or 6 in the back of a 110 on the longitudinal bench seats.
Plus the two in the front you’ll need more kids before you run out of space!

The A8 is the more practical of the two.

Middle seat in A8 is not very comfortable and it's definitely not designed for long travel. You would have to put oldest kid there or mother of twins. Also, seats in A8 are not folding, so you won't be able to use it to transport anything longer. I believe seats in A7 are folding.

I think most A7s are 4 seaters.

Why the change? With 3 children I would be looking at the Q7.

I have three kids and ran an S8 for a couple of years. They were 11, nine and five at the time. The middle seat isn’t great as it’s hard padded and the transmission tunnel is very wide. We only had one in a car seat, so they usually sat in the middle so this wasn’t an issue.

Unsure the eldest would thank you if they had to sit in the middle for long journeys in either the A7 or A8.

A8 boot also not very big and the seats don’t fold.

There’s a reason so many families have SUVs or MPVs sadly!
