... low miles?

This 5 series with high spec has it all including adaptive cruise, harman Kardon, electric seats, large nav etc....

Other one, same price, basic M spec made even more basic by having 17" wheels with winter tyres, which is odd but easily rectifiable....

Which do you go for???

Define high miles?
Check Service history, MOT history. I’d prefer more spec but depends on mileage differential and condition.

Good point.

High miles for a 2017 car, 80,000 miles

Low miles for the other one 33,000 miles.

Both £15k

I'd go with high miles, however if you are covering 20k year then its going to be devalue quite quickly and more difficult to move on in 3 years time.

I'd be going for the lower spec lower miles car, the only thing I would probably miss personally would the adaptive cruise. my car (not BMW) has built in sat nav and I still prefer Waze on my phone. Electric seats are a nice touch but unless you swap drivers regularly will you really notice it?

I personally would think the high mileage one is going to be difficult to shift once it goes over 100k miles, that will limit the resale value where as the lower mileage one to me still has a long way to go while still retaining value better.

I have to be honest I'd look for more of a compromise or maybe spending 1k (haggle hard & it'll be less than 1k) extra as this will land you a 66 plate with Pro Nav & low miles.
