Best sporty car for 40k?

I currently have a mk3 focus RS and looking at changing.
Looked at M3/M4's cayman/boxster but that's it so far...
What does PH suggest?

Edit to add: Up to 4 years old

Ps, it will be my daily and general car

My first thought was a Cayman 981 GTS if I was looking.

But having just looked on AT I see they are high 40's for low mileage ones.

Maybe some will drop a bit in the next month or so?

East Yorkshire, just to work and back, very little days out driving etc. Some back road fun and long straights.

Ask instead for a "sports car" and the cognoscenti of PH will reply that there are none. Apart from two or three cars with a kerb weight circa 1100 kg.
