RS5 Convertible = Marmite.

Morning! So I keep doing this, trying to buy a car to please the Mrs and me at the same time. Done it a few times and failed but God loves a trier.
We’ve got a Disco 5 for all the general daily shipping which is excellent but not involving, I (and hopefully Mrs) would love something roofless and a bit sporty that can fit four... conveniently forgetting the fact we have three kinds but let’s move on.
So that’s what’s led me to an RS5 convertible! Read some of the reviews from 2013 and they seem to be complete Marmite. Clarkson loved one in a review and raves about it ( I think) - excluding price- and a few other reviewers were extremely harsh, apparently just like it’s ride. All kept saying buy the M3 it’s cheaper and better but let’s be honest they are everywhere, also after two M5s I think the Mrs would spot it’s an M car and torpedo with one look.
Would very much be a second car, tops 8k Miles PA and a used for local pottering and posing. Yes I do live in Cheshire. Would not be a motorway rep mobile or track toy.
So now, with the sun out and used examples dropping from a heady £70k to more like £25k does it make more sense?? Has anyone got one, what is it, salty goodness or retching treacle. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts...
