Nissan end of PCP collection
Discussion
Similar I think to the VWFS thread, but PCP.
We have a Leaf which we’re returning at the end of the PCP term. Completed the paperwork and got this reply today:
Surely once the term ends it’s not my car anymore to service, tax, insure etc.

Good Morning,
Thank you for your email, I can confirm your End of Agreement slip has now been processed.
Unfortunately, we are not able to confirm when your vehicle will be collected as our collection agents are not currently collecting any vehicles due to COVID-19.
We will inform you once this has changed, we advise you to keep the vehicle taxed and insured until the vehicle is collected and the vehicle should remain in your possession also.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Kind Regards,

Guessing there is something in the small print of the contract that states you are responsible for those things to protect their asset until such time as they collect it? Get what you mean though and how it could feel frustrating, are you still able to use it until such time as they collect, i assume so.

Check your T&Cs but I would think as it's not your car anymore you don't have to do anything? Same boat as the VWFS thread guys in my eyes.We have a Leaf which we’re returning at the end of the PCP term. Completed the paperwork and got this reply today:

In a similar vein, i'm trying to hand my lease car back early as I don't need it anymore and this was the reply I got.
How can these companies not be doing collections yet?
Due to the Covid-19 lockdown we cannot produce a quotation as we do not know when we can arrange collection.
If the customer is experiencing financial difficulty they can request assistance via

Surely with the slight relaxing of the lockdown collecting cars would be possible.
Menheim Auctions collected my Leaf when it was at the end of it's lease and they've just started online only auctions so they are collecting and delivering cars.
Is it Menheim for PCPs?
Guy across the road has his car collected at least a month ago.
His wife is high risk so not sure if they are having a PCP holiday until they can go out.
