They're a different drive & not as sharp as the Fiesta, they won't step out unless you turn off all the driver aids. The exhaust note is good & it's a nice place to be.

If you want a good drivers car then the i30N Performance

308 GTI PS

At the top of your budget I'd be tempted to go for an A45 AMG they drive well & although they'll cost more to run they'll depreciate slower.

I was hoping something not 4 cylinder as they sound crap

PLUS the hyundai inside looks cheap and nasty for a 22k car.

I wouldn't say the M140 is any better inside, the leather looks and feels cheap. If its fun your after how about a GT86 ?

Too slow, sounds crap and engine has a flatspot, also pretty impractical.

Hmm i thought the bmw just has a nicer looking interior tbh.

As said above, the M140i won't step out of line in normal settings but it will if you switch off all the driver aids. I would argue the beemer is a nicer place to sit than the Hyundai. While it might be a slightly more dated, it looks and feels more premium... if that's a concern.

Tbh i think it will be a huge step up from my fiesta.

Is it likely the noise is a lot nicer just going up the gears or is it likely ill have to give it the full beans to enjoy the noise.

Something a little different, Subaru WRX STI 300+Bhp
It's saloon though but would work when kids come along as a hot hatch would be very tight

Thanks for your slightly leftfield option, i love the look of it and i know they sound good but reading all the reviews it just doesent sound that much of a good proposition really.
