Hi all,

Passed my bike test in November so have barely used my car since then. E89 Z4.

Decided to advertise it last week not expecting to sell it due to current climate but it looks like it’ll be collected tomorrow frown No point having a 2 seater convertible that you only use in bad weather I guess.

I’ll have more (should get £11k for the Z4) but as it’ll barely be used I don’t want to spend much more than £5k’ish.

Current cars I’m considering are...

Mk4 Golf Anni - top of the list, can’t see it depreciating and has a cool factor about it. I’ve had many 20vt cars in the past which I liked and I’d also consider the PD150

Mk5 Golf - Better car probably but a bit bland?
R26 Megane - French (will it be reliable when I need it?
Clio 200 - As above
330ci - Not an M3 and quite similar to what I’m getting rid of
EP3 / FN2 Type R - Never had anything jap, a bit chavvy?

Criteria is something fun / cool / won’t depreciate too much (hence £5k budget, what’s the worst that can happen!), other than that I’m all ears.

Everything you've listed will depreciate it's a case of what you like best.

For me it would be something like an ST-3 Focus that sweet 5 pot with a good chassis as well as being practical & you'll get a nice one for 5k.
