Ex lease car not being collected

The lease on my wife's Mini expired 5 weeks ago and is still uncollected by the lease company, who are ignoring my requests for a collection date.

Is there anything I can realistically do about this or do I just have to suck it up?

Thanks for any advice from those in a similar position.

Two options...

1. If the car is in returnable condition then bill them for storage.
2. If there is any damage that might affect the return value state that it occurred after your responsibility for the car ended and you had nothing to do with it.

What level of inconvenience is this costing you?

If it's space - park it up on the road, inform them where it is and ask them to tell you when it's being picked up when they're ready.

If it's insurance, give them a deadline - your insurance runs out on (x) date and the car is parked on the road so they'd better collect it beforehand.

I don't want to park it in the road as that would inconvenience my neighbours.

The lease company took over the insurance when the lease expired together with our insurance.

Don't think there is much you can do. Which lease company are you with?
I was in the same situation as you, lease expired in April and couldn't be collected due to covid. I assume you have stopped paying anything etc.

Had it sat on my drive for 4 weeks and then in late May, they said they were running collections again so they brought a truck and dragged it away.

Park it in another street

It's their car, not yours. They're insuring it.

Just tell them what you're doing with it and where they can find it and the keys when they're ready.

There should be absolutely no need for this car to be in your way, your only further inconvenience should be to be there to hand it over with the keys.
