weekend car for 20 year old

Hello all,

I'm in the market for a fun weekend car; something to take to shows and hopefully make a couple quid on after owning a few years. Being 20 years old has made this hard as lots of cool early 2000's/late 90's cars are insane on insurance, even with me stating it'll only be a couple thousand miles a year. I've currently got my eye on:

Honda Integra type-r (DC5 or DC2)
Renault Clio sport Trophy 182

These are the main two options for me but after a month of searching i'm yet the find the right one for the right price. (if anyone has one and is thinking of selling let me know). What else could I be considering? 2 litre is the max really, with 8k being the top end of my budget.

I loved my VW Corrado. Insurance was relatively cheap when i was 19 for a 2.9 V6.

For your budget you could go for one with an R32 engine if you look on the forums
