Estate/SUV for £5000

Hello all,

As per the title, I'm considering an estate or SUV. Must be big enough to transport two Labrador sized dogs. Not bothered about the badge although I'm not a fan of Ford.

I like the idea of a Subaru Legacy or Outback but I hear they're a bit thirsty. Although economy isn't my first priority, it would be nice not to spend a fortune on fuel but I don't like diesel so it will have to be a petrol.

Ideally not a money pit either so something with a good reputation for reliability would be useful.

They are thin on the ground but a 1.8tsi Skoda Superb estate would be a decent dog carrier.
