I was looking myself a few months ago but house repairs etc got in the way.
I believe a revised head gasket was fitted midway through 2017 so these may be the cars to look for, I would still be wary of a repaired car personally.
Negatives for me were the harsh suspension at lower speeds, this can be addressed but I didn’t fancy spending £1000 on a car I’d just spent close to £25k on.
The turning circle is quite poor, not a deal breaker for most.
Interior is a bit crap but all Rs cars have had poor interiors really apart from the seats.
The seating position can feel a bit odd, again this can be rectified but it’s throwing more money at it.
I may look at them again in a few years if prices fall below £20k, I wouldn’t mind throwing a few grand at it then to perfect it, I can’t see the values falling that much as they are not making another one.
At the end of the day you have to go and take a good test drive to see if you like it.
